Calvin Martin Runs the NYC Marathon to Raise Over $20,000 for Parkinson’s Research in Honor of His Grandmother

Calvin Martin, a fitness coach and Team Fox supporter, ran the 2021 TCS New York City Marathon in honor of his grandmother, who has been living with Parkinson’s for over a decade. Martin raised over $20,000 for the Michael J. Fox Foundation, which supports research and science for Parkinson’s disease. Despite having no prior distance running experience, Martin trained over 700 miles in 2021 to prepare for the marathon.

For Martin, running the marathon and raising funds for Parkinson’s research was a deeply personal journey. He wanted to honor his grandmother and help raise awareness for a disease that affects millions of people worldwide. Through the support of his community and the Team Fox organization, Martin was able to accomplish his goal and make a meaningful impact in the fight against Parkinson’s.

As a Team Fox supporter, Martin encourages others to join the grassroots fundraising community and get involved in raising funds and awareness for Parkinson’s research. Together, we can make a difference and work towards a world without Parkinson’s.
